Tsagarada, as well as the wider area of eastern Pelion, is the ideal place for hiking.
Historical Kalderimia (cobbled paths) and paths, lost in forests full of chestnut trees and beech trees and in deep ravines covered by plane trees, carve an impressive and at the same time enchanting rocky coastline, embroidered by steep rocks, sea caves, and exotic beaches bathed by the waters of the Aegean and connect beautiful hospitable villages that enchant you with their architecture and tradition.
Hike Away specializes in hiking excursions of tourist, historical, cultural and sports character in Tsagarada and the rest of eastern Pelion. In the area there are a number of hiking routes that can satisfy visitors who want to take a pleasant walk but also the most demanding who are looking for harder and longer ascents.
We have chosen and propose some routes based on historical, cultural and naturalistic criteria as well as the diversity of the field, in order to best reflect to the visitor the diversity of nature and the particular history and morphology of the area.
All routes are highly recommended for the summer months, as most of them are shaded and the lush vegetation and springs form the ideal environment for hiking. They can be further designed together and adapted according to the requirements and wishes of the visitors and upon request packages can be organized that combine hiking with sea kayaking or canyoning. Coffee, dessert or tsipouro can also be planned during or at the end depending on the possibilities of the route.
In the hikes there is an acquaintance (Greek – English) with the history, tradition and natural environment of the area. Hiking sticks, water bottle cases and head lenses are provided on scheduled night hikes for use by those who wish. A back seat (Salewa Koala II) is also provided for carrying a child 2-6 years old (up to 20 kg). Any movements of participants that occur are made in their own vehicles.
